The JV Girls (and the JV2 squad) played 3 games on Saturday 24th Nov against DCB, Harrow and ISB. The DCB game was a thriller going to overtime and we narrowly lost 22-24 in the last few seconds. In the 2nd game we faced the Harrow Varsity team who beat us by 10 points 18-28. Both these losses were tough but we achieved the objective of giving everyone valuable court time and also giving JV2 some much needed game experience against tougher opposition, which has made them better players.
The big game of the day was the 3rd match against ISB and this was a pure JV affair and we treated it as a JPAC warm up match. The game was more like a rugby match than a basketball match as every ball was fiercely contested with bodies al over the floor on several occasions. We ran out 31-20 winners to record our first win of the season and a much needed confidence booster going forward. DCB finished 1st and we finished 3rd and we have a return match against DCB in a weeks time and the result I am sure will be different!
