WABX: ATHLETICS & ACTIVITIES

The 25 m freestyle race within the Olympic Dream Series allows the WAB swimmers to showcase their skills. The event is open to any student from Grade 2-5 willing to dive in for a 25m swim to earn the “I Did It” band. This event uses a knockout format to determine the six finalists. Students participate in rounds until the final six swimmers race in the final to determine the gold, silver and bronze medal winners. These are presented immediately after the race. There are separate boys and girls divisions for Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4, and Grade 5. To earn the “I did it” band for the 25m freestyle sprint, students must compete with their grade level and complete their race in the first round of the competition. All races will be swum in the WAB pool. Start times for each division will be published closer to the event.
